Dr. Faysal Yafi, Professor of Urology at the University of California, Irvine recently visited Stand Up Prosthetic Urology on March 27th to 28th. During his visit, he observed Dr. Park’s inflatable penile implant surgery and engaged in in-depth discussions
Dr. Yafi, who serves as the Director of the Men’s Health Center at UC Irvine’s Department of Urology, first began collaborating with Dr. Park in 2016 through co-authored papers on topics such as the Mini-Jupette technique for inflatable penile prosthesis and differences in surgical outcomes based on types of antibiotics used for penile implant coatings in diabetic patients. In 2018, Dr. Yafi visited Dr. Park’s practice, and in 2021, Dr. Park visited UC Irvine, where they discussed various urological conditions, including erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia
Through this recent visit, Dr. Park and Dr. Yafi not only deepened their academic exchange on inflatable implants and male health issues, but also agreed to co-author a new paper and collaborate on relevant research
